The main objective of the R+D+i Department of LABAQUA is to increase the competitiveness of the company in the environmental sector, through development, research and technological innovation of strategic nature or non-existent on the market, trying to offer the highest quality service to our clients, through development and innovation of processes that allow to satisfy their demands.

The Department’s businesses are the following: 


1. To broaden the activities of R+D+i in the different departments.
2. To organize and to manage the R+D+i effectively, through analysis of the external or internal technological situation, through identification of technological evolution opportunities or through selection and management of appropriate projects.
3. To assure not to lose activities susceptible to generate own technologies, to improve working procedures and methods.
4. To increase the R+D+i as a differential factor of competitiveness.

The Investigation Projects include diverse fields within the environmental sector, such as microbiology, the molecular diagnosis, analytical chemistry and olfactometry. also in other subjects like reference material, quality management, comparison exercises, and computer science.

For the realization of this research activity, we obtained fundings and external subventions of diverse projects, by Organisms like the European Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Centre for Technological and Industrial Development (CDTI), the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Culture and the Organisms of the Valencian Community

The result of this research activity, is the participation of LABAQUA in national and international congresses and publication of scientific articles in specialized magazines, where the achieved profits are shown. Furthermore, we have diverse patents protecting the obtained developments which are commercialized at international level.
