This is what you can read in the article published in its magazine "actualidad de la acreditación" (the present time of the accreditation) (nr. 50, fourth trimester of 2009) where Directive 2009/90/CE, about the water status, is analyzed which requires the use of accredited Proficiency Testing Schemes Suppliers.

In addition, in the mentioned article the one and only accredited Proficiency Testing Schemes Suppliers nowadays in Spain, CALITAX-LABAQUA (at the moment in process of transformation to ielab Calidad, S.L.), is mentioned purposefully. This company recently has extended their scope of accreditation offering accredited circuits for drinking waters, wastewaters, sludges, soils, sampling supports and sea waters.

If you want you can see a detailed scope of accreditation of ielab through the web page of ENAC link-ENAC or directly at the ielab web page link-quality.

The Directive (which establishes technical specifications for chemical analysis and monitoring the water status according to the laid down in article 8, part 3, of the Directive 2000/60/CE) also determines that for “guaranteeing the quality and the comparability of the analytical results”, in addition to the usage of Proficiency Testing Schemes, it is necessary to do it “by means of the use of the available reference materials that are representative”.

ielab is a company engaged to provide services and products for the application of quality in testing laboratories that offers the organization of Proficiency Testing Schemes or the manufacturing and sale of physical-chemical and microbiological reference materials., among others.
